Colonel John Wheeler Middle School

The Colonel Wheeler “A” team finished their season Wednesday defeating Taft 20-14. Ben Boomsma led the offense using his legs and completing clutch passes to keep the chains moving. Braxton Gonzales balanced out the offensive attack with hard inside runs behind offensive linemen Oliver Miksis, Issac Aburto, Evan Solis, Mason Reinke, Jaxson Sertic, and Luke Abbatemarco. The defensive front proved to be a difference maker in the game. Kayo Macarthy made the Taft QB uncomfortable all night. The team won the turnover battle with Macarthy forcing a fumble and Ethan Jansma picking off a pass. Colonel Wheeler finishes their season undefeated and as the Lake - Porter Conference champions.
